The Southern Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Okla., hosted the final round of USMTS Winter Speedweeks this past Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 3-5, and the S&S Fishing & Rental No. 97 racing team came looking to continue their strong start to the 2016 season.
On Thursday, a third-place finish left Cade in one of the three Real Racing Wheels "B" Mains, but he dominated his race to earn the 13th starting spot in the $2,000-to-win main event. After passing nine cars, Cade crossed the finish line with a fourth-place finish.
Friday got off to a rocky start for the Robeline, La., racer as a seventh-place heat race finish left him deep in the fifth row of a "B" Main. Nevertheless, he roared past eight cars to take the runner-up spot and earn a place in the $3,000-to-win feature race. The passing continued in the "A" Main, but a locked down track about halfway through the contest made even more passing nearly impossible and Cade loaded up with a ninth-place finish after passing nine cars early on.
For Saturday's $4,000-to-win finale, Cade cruised to victory in his heat race and then redrew the pole position to start the 50-lap main event. After racing with the leaders throughout the night, he took the checkered flags with a third-place finish and sitting solidly in third in the USMTS Production Jars Southern Region points.
