With five events on the agenda for the Memorial Day Weekend, weather interrupted the celebration and rained out three of the shows.
Thursday at the Mason City Motor speedway, Cade drove the No. 97 S&S Fishing & Rental MBCustoms modified to a fifth-place finish in his heat race, and then roared from 14th on the grid to finish sixth in the “All-In” 30 presented by Diamond Jo Casino.
After two days of wet weather, the series invaded the Upper Iowa Speedway in Decorah, Iowa, for the 9th Annual “Donnybrook in Decorah.” Racing from sixth to second in his heat, Cade was the top passing points earner but drew the seventh starting slot for the 42-lap feature. After leading briefly early on, he challenged Zack VanderBeek for the top spot but the track locked down about halfway through the race and Cade rode it home with a runner-up paycheck.
After four races in the RealTruck.com Northern Region, Cade sits third in points behind Jason Hughes and Johnny Scott.
Up next for the USMTS Casey’s Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental is a pair of do-overs in Kansas and Oklahoma.
Postponed two weeks ago by rain, the 81 Speedway in Park City, Kan., hosts the Best of the Best on Thursday, June 9, and a doubleheader is slated at the Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Okla., on Friday and Saturday, June 10-11.
All three nights will award points in the MSD Central Region presented by Day Motor Sports.
