Blue Bunny Helmet of Hope

Nominate a charity that supports K-12 public education in the United States for the chance to be featured on Jimmie Johnson’s helmet, receive a cash grant and a Blue Bunny ice cream party. A total of five (5) charities will be selected for the 2014 Blue Bunny Helmet of Hope.

Non-profit organizations that currently offer programs in support of K-12 public education (must have 501c3 designation from IRS) or Parent/teacher organizations of K-12 public schools (must have 501c3 designation from IRS).

In Round 1, individuals may only submit one nomination, however, charities can be nominated multiple times by different people.

Nominations will be accepted until 5:00pm ET on Friday, April 4, 2014.

Ten (10) nominations will be selected to move on to Round 2, and the public will vote on their favorite charity from the ten (10) semi-finalists selected in Round 1.

The five (5) charities that receive the most votes between April 17-24 will be featured on Jimmie’s Blue Bunny Helmet of Hope, which he will wear July 27 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. In addition, these five (5) charities will receive a $25,000 grant and a Blue Bunny ice cream party.

About the Blue Bunny Helmet of Hope Program
In its seventh year, the Blue Bunny Helmet of Hope program gives fans and consumers across the country the opportunity to nominate their favorite education-focused charity to be featured on six-time NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Champion Jimmie Johnson’s Sprint Cup helmet for the race at Indianapolis Motor Speedway on July 27, 2014. The title sponsor for Helmet of Hope program is Blue Bunny Ice Cream. In addition to being featured on the helmet, each charity selected also received a cash grant and a Blue Bunny ice cream party. To date, the program has contributed more than $560,000 to 71 different charities.
