Joe and the No. 91 Trucks Unlimited/Duvall Electric team competed in the King of America V, March 26-28, at the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kan. With four qualifying heat races over the course of two days, Duvall finished 4th, 5th, 6th and 9th which put him 30th in points and a spot in the 20-lap “C” Main on Saturday.
He finished 9th in the “C” Main to advance to the “B” Main where he didn't have any luck and finished 20th. However, thanks to perfect attendance in the MVT Gulf Coast Border Region last month, Joe was eligible for one of two provisional and was lucky enough to have his name drawn and inherit a spot in the last row of the $10,000-to-win, 100-lap “A” Main.
Once "Big Daddy" got to the big dance, he finished 78 laps before retiring from the race.
A total of 82 cars and drivers were on hand for the three-day affair which will be broadcast to a national television audience this summer on MAVTV.
