Duvall digs up runner-up effort at Salina

Joe Duvall headed to the Longdale Speedway in Longdale, Okla., on Friday, April 10, for what was supposed to be a two-day event that was an early week do-over after rain in Texas canceled races there. In Friday's USMTS main event,

"Big Daddy" suffered mechanical problems which sidelined him after just 15 of the scheduled 30 laps.

The following day, rain found Longdale and Saturday's show was called off so the team headed closer to home to compete in the weekly show at Salina Highbanks Speedway. It was a much better result Saturday night as Duvall won his heat race and then took the runner-up spot in the feature race behind Thomas Tillison Jr.

The team will be back at Salina next Saturday, April 18, when the USMTS rolls into town, but first we have a date in Colcord, Okla., at the Flint Creek Speedway in Friday night, April 17.
