Wet track, wet weather greets Duvall and AMP Energy team

Joe Duvall and the No. 91 AMP Energy brigade were back in action this past Friday and Saturday, Aug. 21-22, for another Hunt for the USMTS Casey’s Cup doubleheader in Kansas and Oklahoma.

On Friday, the series invaded the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., and Duvall got things going early with a drive from eighth to fourth in a wet hammer-down heat race on the historic half-mile oval. In the main event, he started 10th and loaded up with a 19th-place paycheck.

Unfortunately, Saturday's event at Duvall's home track Salina Highbanks Speedway in Pryor Creek, Okla., was rained out. The next show for the USMTS  will happen Wednesday, Sept. 2, at the Hamilton County Speedway in Webster City, Iowa—the first of five straight nights of racing to celebrate the Labor Day Weekend.
