Joe Duvall and Club 91 joined the USMTS Casey’s Cup Series powered by S&S Fishing & Rental in Texas this past weekend for the final three events in the Production Jars Southern Region presented by Day Motor Sports.
Action kicked off with the 2nd Annual North Texas Nationals at the Superbowl Speedway in Greenville on Thursday, May 5. Joe raced from sixth to third in his heat race. Unfortunately, a crash at the front of the field to start the "A" Main collected the #91 car and Joe was out of the race without completing a lap.
On Friday, the series moved to the Lubbock Speedway. Joe finished fourth in the first heat race which left him in a "B" Main which he led from start to finish. In the main event, Joe rolled off 14th and brought home a 10th-place finish and the KSE Racing Products Hard Charger Award.
The weekend wrapped up on Saturday, May 7, with the 7th Annual USMTS Amarillo Ambush at the Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo. 'Big Daddy' raced from fourth to second in the second heat which earned him a top-8 redraw. After drawing the eighth spot out of eight drivers, Joe held on to finish ninth in the 42-lapper.
In the final Production Jars Southern Region points, Joe claimed the eighth spot which locked him into this year's Hunt for the USMTS Casey's Cup powered by S&S Fishing & Rental. Teammate and crew chief Scott Drake also made the cut.
