Big Daddy snake bit at Fall Jamboree, finishes eighth in USMTS points

Joe Duvall and Club 91 competed in the 18th Annual Featherlite Fall Jamboree, Sept. 22-24, at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn.

On Thursday, Joe started 11th and finished sixth in his heat race. That put him in a Real Racing Wheels "B" Main where he started fourth and finished second to advance to the main event. In the feature race, he started 21st and finished 20th. With his finish, 'Big Daddy' wound up eighth in the points in the Hunt for the USMTS Casey's Cup Series powered by S&S Fishing & Rental.

Friday found Joe mired deep in his heat race line up. After starting eighth, he finished seventh. He started seventh in his "B" Main and finished sixth.

The draws didn't get any better Saturday as Joe drew an outside third row starting spot in his heat race. He finished seventh, and then finished fifth in his "B" Main after starting eighth--one spot shy of making the big dance. In the 25-lap, $2,000-to-win Non-Qualifiers Race, he drew the 20th starting spot out of 32 drivers and made his way to an 11th-place finish.

Up next for Club 91 is a return to the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kan., on Friday, Sept. 30, for the Grant Junghans Memorial, plus a special Thursday "Deuces Wild" event on Thursday.
