Lucas Schott and the No. 69 Schott's Hardwood Floors racing team took to the dirt three times this past weekend. On Thursday, Aug. 13, Schott competed with the USMTS at the Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis., where mechanical woes sidelined him on lap 11 with a 23rd-place finish on a wet and rough racetrack.
Friday found 'Cool Hand Luke' in familiar territory at the Mississippi Thunder Speedway in Fountain City, Wis., for another round of USMTS action. After earning the Pole Award, Schott redrew the sixth starting spot and that's where he finished up the 40-lap main event.
Schott visited the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., for some USRA Modified action on Saturday and went home with his second sixth-place finish of the weekend.
