VanderBeek on podium after Great American Stock Car Shootout

Zack VanderBeek drove Roget Kelderman’s IMCA Stock Car to a third-place finish Wednesday night in the 20th Annual Great American Stock Car Shootout at the Southern Iowa Speedway in Oskaloosa, Iowa. After qualifying on Tuesday set the field for Wednesday’s finale, ‘The Z-Man’ started 10th on the grid. Although he cruised past seven competitors during the main event, it could have been better as he raced with no brakes for the second half of the race. Teammate Cayden Carter won the race and took the $2,000 top prize.
