Four races in five nights with USMTS
While gunning for fourth in Friday's feature at the Cedar Lake Speedway, Cool Hand Luke's radiator was anything but cool... and it cost him dearly.

Four races in five nights filled the Lucas Schott Racing team calendar June 10-14, with trips to tracks in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa to compete in the Farm Boy BBQ Sauce Northern Region with the USMTS Modifieds.

On Wednesday in Willmar, Minn., Schott made his first trip to the KRA Speedway and had a solid run. After winning his heat race, he drew the seventh starting spot and brought home a nice sixth-place finish to kick off the weekend.

After sitting out Thursday's show in Alexandria, Minn., the team headed to the Cedar Lake Speedway in New Richmond Wis., for the 17th Annual Masters on Friday and Saturday. Schott has had some of his career-best runs at the historic high-banked track, and he was eyeing a top-five finish Friday when his radiator let go with just a handful of laps remaining in the main event. On Saturday, Schott wound up 13th at the checkers, and then on Sunday at the Cresco Speedway the final finish was 14th.
