Finished 14th in Main EventJoe and the Club 91 team competed at the Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss., on March 9 in the season opener for the USMTS Hunt for the Casey’s Cup. After a runner-up finish in his heat race, “Big Daddy” started the main event from the 10th starting spot and fought a rough race track to hang on for 14th at the finish line. The team heads for a Saturday night showdown at the Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Miss.

Finished 16th in Main EventThe fifth round of Summit USMTS Winter Speedweeks took place Saturday night at the Whynot Motorsports Park in Meridian, Miss., with 43 entries on hand. Joe finished 4th in his heat race and then picked up a runner-up finish in his "B" Main to earn the 16th starting spot in the fature race. "Big Daddy" stayed right there, finishing 16th in a caution-free 40-lapper. The next event on deck for Club 91 is the King of America VIII presented by Summit Racing Equipment on Thursday-Saturday, March 15-17, at the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kan.

The King of America VIII Modified Nationals presented by Summit took place at the Humboldt Speedway on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, March 15-17, with 84 cars and drivers signed in for battle over the three nights. In Thursday's USMTS Hunt for the Casey’s Cup points race, Joe raced from 10th to 6th in his heat race and then finished 6th in his "B" Main. On Friday, each driver competed in two heat races to set the fields for Saturday. From 10th, he finished 8th in his first heat and then started and finished 2nd his second heat, leaving him 41st in passing points. On Saturday, "Big Daddy" started 2nd and won the first last chance race and then finished 16th in the "C" Main. Although he didn't make it to the big dance, he advanced the Club 91 MB Customs ten spots in the Non-Qualifiers Race to finish 7th. The USMTS Hunt for the Casey’s Cup is back in action on Friday and Saturday, April 13-14, with the first-ever event in the Copper State at the Canyon Speedway Park in Peoria, Ariz.

Finished 9th in Main EventAfter skipping the preliminaries on Friday, Joe pulled into the Tri-State Speedway and tagged the back of the main event on Saturday. He started 23rd and battled his way to a sporty 9th-place finish.

It was a rough road Friday night at the Canyon Speedway Park. After a body-bending heat race, Joe grabbed the fifth and final transfer spot into the main event from his Real Racing Wheels "B" Main. The Club 91 machine went pit side after 27 laps, finishing 20th. Another round on Saturday saw a step forward with a 12th-place finish after rolling off 10th on the grid.

Back on the road with the USMTS, Joe competed in the Rancho Milagro Short Track Shootout April 20-22 at the Southern New Mexico Speedway. On Friday, "Big Daddy" went from 6th to 5th in his heat race, and then from 7th to 2nd in his "B" Main. In the main event, he started 15th and finished 10th. On Saturday, He drew the 8th starting spot for his heat and finished 7th. Once again he charged forward in his "B" Main, this time from 13th to 5th to lock himself into the main event where he started 22nd and finished 20th. On Sunday, the Club 91 crew started and finished 5th in their heat race and then got 3rd in the "B" Main after starting 7th. The 40-lap main event saw Joe start and finish 7th. The team now heads for the West Texas Raceway on Friday, April 27.

Finished 8th in Main EventAfter a third-place finish in his heat race during Friday night’s USMTS event at the West Texas Raceway in Lubbock, Joe bounced back to win the second Real Racing Wheels "B" Main. That put him 14th for the start of the 40-lap "A" Main where he marched forward to score an eighth-place finish.

Finished 10th in Main EventJoe limped to a fifth-place finish in his heat race and ninth in his Real Racing Wheels "B" Main Saturday at the Route 66 Motor Speedway in Amarillo, Texas. Using a provisional to take the 24th starting spot and clawed his way to a top-10 finish by the end of the rough 'n' tumble 40-lap main event.

Finished 16th in Main EventSunday took Club 91 to the Enid Speedway for the third USMTS battle of the week. "Big Daddy" suffered a seventh-place finish in his heat race but fought his way into fourth in his Real Racing Wheels "B" Main to lock himself into the 20th starting spot for the "A" Main. At the end of 35 laps, it was a 16th-place finish for the team.

Finished 10th in Main EventAfter rain on Friday forced the I-30 Speedway to cancel their big show, we kept the Club 91 team at home in preparation for Saturday’s USMTS Hunt for the Casey’s Cup show at the Tri-State Speedway in Pocola, Okla. The night started off strong for Joe as he muscled his way to third in his heat race after rolling off ninth on the grid. After redrawing the inside of row two for the 40-lap feature, “Big Daddy” held on to his bucking bronco to leave with a tenth-place finish—his eighth top-ten in 18 starts this season.

Henryetta Ford USMTS Clash at The Creek
Finished 9th in Main EventBack home in our neighborhood on Sunday, we finally got to turn the USMTS cars around the Creek County Speedway quarter-mile for the Henryetta Ford Clash at The Creek. Nobody knew what to expect, but after the dust settled around 10 p.m. Sunday night it was clear that the bar was set pretty high for a possible second annual event in 2019. With more than $7,000 in added sponsorship cash and prizes for the competitors—not to mention a couple good ol’ fashioned trophy girls—the racers paid it forward with a wild caution-free main event that gave the huge crowd their money’s worth. Joe grabbed the win in the opening heat race, and then redrew the fifth starting spot for the main event. At the end of 40 wildly fun laps without a yellow flag, “Big Daddy” crossed the finish line ninth.
“I’m really at a loss for words. Thank you to everyone that supported and believed in the show tonight at Creek County. Emmett, Steve, Bryan, Todd, Janet, Trenton, Chris, Terry and a host of others I’m sure I have forgot. The sponsors who gave generously without hesitation. I heard how it was going to be a wreck fest and a total **** show. Creek County and Tulsa, you got to see the nation’s best modified drivers in action. If you didn’t like that 40 laps green to checkers you should just get a boat. Emmett said we will be back. Oh yeah, did I mention we had trophy girls?”

He worked his way out of his "B" Main, but suffered mechanical failure just six laps into the main event.
